I believe the reporting needs to happen more locally in the Northwest US. Where I live in Portland, Or it hasn't been well talked about in the news but it is in the schools here. My granddaughter has MRSA and my daughter and now I have been infected by living in the same house. My granddaughter was infected by a friend at a Portland school, she shared clothes with and didn't know her friend had the infection. People aren't talking about it. There are others I am told have it but their parents don't want it shared. They are sticking their head in the sand. I am so glad this is being talked about nationally. People need to know how scary it is and how easy it spreads. I work at a hospital but haven't received a lot of information here either.
